The Center for Immigration and Migration Studies (CIMS) brings together a strong cohort of faculty engaging in cutting-edge research on immigration and global migration across the disciplines. From tracing immigrant journeys in the Rio Grande Valley to exploring ethnic identity and gentrification in D.C.’s Chinatown, their projects earn funding and coverage from prestigious institutions around the world.

CIMS also disseminates research and policy solutions beyond academia, including in presentations, reports and white papers intended to make real-world impact.
